Planning and developing a library programming plan is not an endeavor to be entered into lightly. At Penguin Paradise Public Library our goal when developing our plan was to provide our patrons with a well rounded, education filled calendar that included fun and discovery. These programs were designed to bring patrons into our library and to catch their interest so that they would keep coming back. Early literacy education was woven into each program, event, and activity because at the end of the day our ultimate goal is to promote a love of books and reading.

At times the only thing holding us back from adding more activities was the knowledge that one library cannot do it all. If it could our programming schedule would be jam packed with even more.
